A 17-inch deer family carved in natural rose quartz: a standing stag flanked by a doe and two resting fawns, arranged on a stepped oval plinth. It is the most ambitious work in the collection.
Each animal is carved in the round and finished individually, with the fawns' folded legs and the doe's turned head undercut clear of the base. The stag's antlers are rendered as fine branching elements, and the blush-pink quartz shifts from opaque cream at the plinth to a translucent rose across the bodies. Compositions with four separate free-standing figures on one base are exceptionally rare at this scale.
