A 6-inch Lord Ganesha hand-carved from natural sodalite, the deep blue stone veined with white calcite that drifts unpredictably across the figure and makes every carving distinct.

Ganesha is seated on a lotus base beneath a carved arch topped with a finial, with the four arms, curved trunk, crown and ornaments all worked at full detail despite the compact scale. Small-format deity carvings leave no room for correction, so the proportion of the face and the sweep of the trunk are the real test of the carver's hand.

Compact enough for a home altar shelf, an office desk, a car dashboard shrine or a bedside table, and one of the easiest pieces in the collection to gift and ship.

One of a kind. Height: 6 inches. Width: 6 inches.

Hand-carved from a single block of natural gemstone in India and hand-polished to a soft luster. Because every block of stone is unique, the color, banding and inclusions of the piece you receive will vary slightly from the photographs. That variation is the signature of a genuine natural stone carving. Dust with a soft dry cloth; avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight.
