This 11-inch Lord Ganesha is hand-carved from natural green aventurine in a paler, jade-like tone, with fine mineral veining running through the body of the stone.

Ganesha is seated in the classical lalitasana pose on a lotus throne, one leg folded and one lowered, with the trunk curved toward the modak-bearing hand. The carver has kept the surface soft and rounded rather than sharply faceted, which gives the figure its gentle, approachable character.

The muted green works beautifully against teak, walnut or marble and suits a puja room, a study, an office desk or a gifting occasion: Ganesha as the remover of obstacles is the traditional choice for new homes, new ventures and new beginnings.

One of a kind. Height: 11 inches.

Hand-carved from a single block of natural gemstone in India and hand-polished to a soft luster. Because every block of stone is unique, the color, banding and inclusions of the piece you receive will vary slightly from the photographs. That variation is the signature of a genuine natural stone carving. Dust with a soft dry cloth; avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight.
