The stone is unusually dark and evenly saturated, taking a mirror polish that throws the modeling of the ears, trunk and ornaments into strong relief. The upper arms are raised holding the ankusha and pasha, the crown is worked in a triple-crest form, and the drapery is cut in soft continuous folds across the seated figure.
